My Son The Doctor

Yiddish Jazz and Klezmer dance tunes! My Son the Doctor plays an eclectic, infectiously danceable mix of Eastern European and Mediterranean folk music – from traditional and contemporary Romani songs to Balkan pop! Louis Schwartz on acoustic rhythm guitar and vocals; Allen Cole on clarinet; Ben Grondahl on clarinet; Steve Young on electric guitar; Bryan Martin on electric bass and David Ellis on hand percussion.

Lawrence Olds Band

The Lawrence Olds Band interprets favorites from the American Songbook and some “Old School” Blues! Compositions written by Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer and Duke Ellington are brought back to the Stage with one of Richmond’s favorite vocalists! George Cruz – keyboard; Randall Pharr – bass; Aaron Binder- drums and vocalist Lawrence Olds.

Fatback

New Orleans style Jazz and early swing favorites from the 20s and 30s. Celebrate the music of Louis Armstrong, Sydney Bechet, Duke Ellington and NOLA traditional “2nd line” favorites. The band is led by trombonist and Ellington enthusiast Pete Anderson and includes some of Richmond’s finest swingers – Bob Miller on trumpet; Jason Scott on clarinet/soprano; Thomas Wakefield on banjo; Brian Cruse on bass; Forrest Young on drums. “Let The Good Times Roll!”

Kevin Gaines Quartet

Soulful Jazz, sophisticated and upbeat! Kevin Gaines is one of the area’s most sought-after drummers because he can play all types of music, with a style that’s “energetic, driving and animated”. Featuring Ayinde Williams on keyboards; Jimmy Tressell on bass and vocalist Carla Jackson.
