Chris Vasi Quintet is ready to entertain bringing a variety of Jazz, including Blue Note,
standards, Cuban, African, funk, and Thelonious Monk. Chris Vasi – guitar, Pete Anderson -trombone, Chris Sclafani – saxophone, Carter Blough – bass, Aaron Binder – drums.

MARSHA MEEKINS & COMPANY JAZZ BAND

Marsha Meekins

Marsha Meekins has been a perennial favorite at Jazz Café with her melodic and swinging flute interpretations of Jazz standards and contemporary favorites. She is well known throughout VA and Maryland for her classy, entertaining style. Marsha Meekins – flute & alto flute; Cliff Fuller – keyboards; Brandon Smith – guitar; Matthew Steele – bass; Glenn Jones -drums & vocalist Victor Nelson.

MADDY CURTIS

Maddy Curtis Quartet

New Award-winning vocalist Maddy Curtis sings “Retro-Jazz” – beloved standards and soulful original tunes reminiscent of some of the great Ladies of Song – Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland and Doris Day. She was described as “soulful beyond her years” by Simon Cowell on American Idol (Season 9). Maddy Curtis on vocals, Jack Byrnes on bass, Quincy Harmon on piano & trumpet, and Stephan Larue on drums.

KOFI SHEPSU

Kofi Shepsu

Drummer Kofi Shepsu is back with his energetic brand of popular standards and modern Jazz arrangements with Charlottesville’s Garen Dorsey on keyboard and Cameron Ralston house bassist and co-founder/producer for Spacebomb Records.

AFRO-ZEN ALL STARS

Afro-Zen All Stars

The Afro-Zen All Stars play music that exists at the place where African musical tradition connects with Jazz and Jam! “This is music for the mind, body and spirit and, with the goal of increasing the amount of joy in the world. We hope to share it far and wide.” George Lowe & Chris Vasi – guitars, Keith Cable & Hunter Duke – percussion, Brian Cruse- bass, Scott Milstead – drums, John Lilley & Chris Sclafani – saxes and Pete Anderson – trombone.
